Workaround MYOB Compatibility On Windows Vista
MYOB ver 8 accounting software or below runs fine on Windows XP Home or Professional computer but not on Windows Vista. I have workaround for this compatibility issue, I’am running MYOB ver 8 on Windows Vista Home Premium. And I have been trial to install MYOB old version such as MYOB ver 7, 7.5 and one of new version of MYOB such as MYOB Premier 11 Trial Version (it was just for a review for other version of MYOB).
Only MYOB ver 9 above can install on Windows Vista. You can check out this information at Microsoft Compability Center website. As you can see on these pict below only MYOB ver 9 above are compatible with Windows Vista.
As a convenient workaround, please firstly try to run this program as Windows XP compatibility mode. To do that, please use the following steps:
1. Right-click the executable file for the main program and select Properties.
2. Switch to Compatibility tab.
3. Check the option Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select Windows XP (SP 2)
4. Click Apply or OK.
5. Now you can Install and Setup MYOB Premier 8 or below on Windows Vista. You can run file setup to Install MYOB on Windows Vista –> Right-click the executable file for the main program and select Run As Administrator

I work on Windows 7. i try to install MYOB version 7.5 and it can’t install completely.

you can use Check the option Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select Windows XP (SP 3) on step 2
